Review packet-linked telecom findings, grouped dialogs, call issues, and ladder views for signaling-heavy captures.
The Telco tab is the signaling-focused cockpit for telecom captures. It is designed for cases where SIP, IMS, Diameter, NGAP, GTP, SCCP, TCAP, or related telecom protocols dominate the investigation.
PacketSafari also puts a lot of its anonymization effort into this same protocol family. The current anoncap profile and private regression coverage are heavily biased toward telecom signaling and subscriber-identity scenarios, so telco-heavy captures are one of the places where deep anonymization support is strongest.

Common workflow
- Open Telco after PacketSafari detects telecom signaling.
- Review the top protocol errors and failed dialogs.
- Separate correlated call issues, indexed SIP findings, and SIP/dialog heuristics in the call detail.
- Drill into the grouped dialog or ladder view for the most important sequence.
- Use the packet action to inspect the supporting filter or frames, or launch Agent from the relevant telco evidence.
Notes
- The tab is optimized for signaling correlation, not just packet listing.
- A grouped dialog state or heuristic is a lead, not a verified service-impact conclusion. Confirm it against response behavior, packet evidence, capture viewpoint, and the expected call flow.
- The same telecom protocol families that drive this tab also receive some of the deepest anoncap regression coverage.
- Hosted preview tiers can show lower-signal hints while deeper findings remain gated.
- Use VoIP for media-focused RTP troubleshooting and Telco for signaling-heavy analysis. When SIP context is available, the VoIP view links back to the Telco calls view.
